The Smugglers’ Secret

A story-based puzzle game! This is a cross between a whodunit and an escape room. You are given a mystery, and all the clues to solve it. Some of these clues are post cards, some print outs of emails, and some handwritten notes. Your task is to work out what happened and solve the mystery.

The game is an A5 string-and-washer envelope containing:
- Instructions
- Fill in answer sheet
- Sheet of hints and sheet of answers
- 19 different clues, ranging from a newspaper to a post-it note

It’s a single play game. However, you could easily pass it on to someone else if you photocopy the fill in answer sheet. None of the clues need to be cut up or written on. It doesn’t require internet or a phone to use — all you need is what’s in the envelope, plus a pencil!

This game has been created with adults and teenagers in mind. The theme is family friendly, so younger teenagers and children could also play. It takes about an hour to play.
